Growing up on the Llanederyn housing estate in Cardiff, Mark Heenan was listening to the likes of Oasis, Metallica, Blur and the Beatles before joining a country band at the age of 15 - as a drummer. In the late 90s he joined an indie-rock band, attracting record company attention. Heenan performed in two further bands before in 2004 frustration drove him to step from behind the drums and up to the mic, picking up the guitar in the process. He signed with K-Diff shortly after.
